IMHO the best music biopic is by far "Control" by Anton Corbijn. Sam Riley's performance as Ian Curtis is just phenomenal.

A much more useful comparison would be with the 2009 stereo remasters of these recordings. For example "I Saw Her Standing There" 2009 outshines the 2023 version big time. Just compare the two in lossless streaming: in the former Paul's bass is much more distinct and louder in the mix. Sure, it is hard panned to the left, but in the 2023 remix it sounds like mush in comparison. In the 2009 version the bass is clearly driving the groove in a powerful fashion and Ringo's drumming is equally clearly heard for what it is, an accompaniment rather than any sort of "engine room". Generalising about original stereo hard panning being inferior is simplistic nonsense. If you listen to recordings with a focus on enjoyment then your brain compensates and builds a musically coherent experience. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, not in trite comments about the recipe.

I think George just disliked Liam he was probably fine with the rest besides their personalities since if he disliked U2 I doubt he liked the Gallagher brothers

just because a band was influenced by the Beetles doesn't mean they couldn't exist if suddenly the Beetles didn't exist. I mean it's not like if Hydrogen suddenly didn't exist we couldn't have water (H2O). They exist now without the Beetles influencing them - they wouldn't be wondering about it cause they have no reason to. I think you're getting too into the weeds with this. just accept it and move on.

I just saw it again after only having seen it once before. I kinda like it! It’s just a superficial story, and you shouldn’t take it for more than it is. Then it’s just fine. The music is great!

To this day, I think the best Steve Jobs portrayal on camera has yet to be made. I loved both Pirates of Silicon Valley and Boyle's/Sorkin's Steve Jobs. But there's whole other realms of stories, relationships, and events that have never been touched. His relationship with Tina Redse. His actual family, Laurene Powell and their kids. His friendship with Larry Ellison and Richard Murdoch. His battles with Michael Eisner, followed by his respect for Bob Iger. Buying Ed Catmull away from George Lucas and pushing for Pixar to be a legit movie studio. His screaming of a color not being blue while parked at some grocery story. Ordering smoothies in fine dining restaurants that didn't have smoothies on the menu in New York while meeting with legacy media people. Laughing his ass off when he heard Apple's interim CEO used a stupid analogy about a sinking boat needing to have its' crew all rowing in the same direction. There's literally so much to the later years. It's lowkey a dream of mine to make the later years a limited series.

Did everyone see the release of the cast I'm dying about it, Paul mescal is one o my favorite recent actors and Barry Keoghan looks appropriate for ringo, I don't know much about George and John actors but I'll put my faith in them and the project. I have migrated my entire beatles library onto Plex (13,171 tracks and counting) and its been a dream come true. The apple music bug was the worst, highly suggest plex if you wanna digitize everything and have it in once place.

John didn't end the Beatles. Paul did. Everyone tried to leave the band at one time or another, only for Paul to draw them back. Then, he puts out his own album and goes to the press to announce the Beatles are through. It's well documented.
